A bigger variety of material for backsplashes allows even budget renovations show very dramatic results. Sure glass mosaic is still well-liked, but now there are more original options for backsplash such a steel sheets, imitation stone, solid colored glass, solid natural stone, porcelain. Although Quartz seems to have taken the first place as the most practical naturally looking material for kitchen countertops, there seem to be more unusual options than ever – we see it as a definite trend, wood, reclaimed wood, steel, glass.

We are not discussing the practicality of it here. But it proves the fact that homeowners now are moving towards creating more personal space in the kitchen.
